Howdy' Partner - Cowboys and Cooks launches 2nd location.

It's that time of the season were everyday you just want to go to a beautiful restaurant and have a bottle of perfectly chilled bubbly or chardonnay and food that tastes as amazing as it reads on the menu. Well, look no further as a new steakhouse and bar has reached the shores of De Waterkant: Cowboys and Cooks. Recently, I was invited to attend the launch of Cowboys and Cooks second location which is located in 4 Liddle Strett, De Waterkant, Green Point. More than 600+ invited guests flocked the restaurant making it one big party. The steakhouse and bar is different from its first location situated in 4 Ocean Way, Sunset beach. With 130 seating arrangement across the main floor, as well as nook areas which can be closed off for private dining events. The decor exudes old townhouse yet modern luxury with fresh flowers everywhere, wonderful light and open areas during good weather days, and warm, fire-side, library-style decor in the evenings changing the mood to a more intimate atmosphere as the lighting dims allowing the wooden interior to speak with the reflections of the candles and lights.
I have longed for a steakhouse which would bring together the worlds of casual dining excellence and the courage and grit of cattle-rearing, and here it is. Micheal Townsend.
The restaurant is part of a chain of amazing restaurants by Michael Townsend, the man behind the La Parada & Tiger’s Milk success, and currently Sevruga in the V&A Waterfront, who has great plans for the growth of the Cowboys & Cooks brand. With a concept Chef, Lizaan Nell - previously of the Harbour House Group and La Colombe - you are always in a treat as he is meticulously to bring fresh and local ingredients and innovative dishes to bring balance and diversity to the menu. Great pride is taken to work with local butchers, to source from cattlemen and farmers who use the most natural forms of rearing possible.
NB: A new initiative that should keep us all going out this summer, Cowboys and Cooks will be hosting a series of events every Friday's with a line up of great Dj's from 20H00 who ewill take you from dinner vibes to dance-floor favourites.
