In a first for these two Cape Town fashion brands,  Maison Mara  and PICHULIK collaborated to create jewellery for mothers and daughters. Katherine-Mary PICHULIK and Kelly Withey took inspiration from their own mothers for this exclusive eight-piece collection which will launch at Maison Mara on Tuesday 13 December.

PUMA COLLABORATES WITH LOCAL DESIGNER DANIEL TING CHONG Global Sports Brand PUMA has collaborated with local designer Daniel Ting Chong to create two new sneaker iterations; a vintage Duplex OG and a modernized version of it, the Duplex Evo. Who is Daniel Ting Chong? The Cape Town based illustrator and designer has created two distinctly African sneakers, by drawing on traditional indigenous Zulu and Xhosa beliefs. What inspired the designs and the process? Chong’s design of the earthy hued Duplex OG (R2 899) was inspired by Unkulunkulu, the Supreme Creator in traditional Zulu culture. The perforated upper consists of a premium nubuck suede completed by a debossed artwork of Unkulunkulu on the tongue. The heelcap embraces a custom typographic PUMA logo, which has been specifically created for this release. Notably, it is rare for PUMA to release a sneaker without their iconic typographic logo. Last week PoseZA was invited to an escape to Paradise in The Heart of Cape Town at the Mai Thai wellness spa in Green Point. This past Saturday, PoseZA attended the debut of upscale local eatery in Camps Bay – The 41 I had been waiting for this day for more than a month as everytime passing by it, while under construction, you could see exactly how amazing it would be once finished. Upon arrival, it was all about the red carpet, everyone looked amazing and ready to party. Besides how amazing the restaurant is, the food is ten times amazing. We were treated with delicious canapés while sipping on champagne or if you wanted something stronger and refreshing, cocktails by Lanique. A huge space with a patio to die for for the upcoming summer evening cocktails. With over hundrend people invited, you could have anticipated  uncomfortable times but that was never the issue.
