Voila! Restuarant Opening in Bantry Bay

Last Wednesday, POSE attended the opening of the Viola! Restuarant in Bantry Bay where we were treated to a modern high tea experience, welcomed on arrival with a glass of Paul Rene Cap Classique. The venue is superb even if I have to say so myself as it is situated in Victoria Road which we all know is where the socialite scene is at and finding out that the owners also own KOI, it was just perfect as KOI restaurant is just opposite. As I walked in I was graced by the smell of freshly baked goods and mesmerized by the interior as it was so chic and refreshing with wooden ceiling, floor and some wooden decor designs on the walls. At this time I was alone waiting on my partner in crime Anam to arrives, 2 hours late that is. The is no other way to explain the delicious canapes and dessert that where served as such as the LittleBlackBook did on the press release “As the sun set over the ocean, tantalizing mini desserts made the rounds which included mini red velvet cupcakes, cream and scones topped with strawberry jam, mini lemon meringues, chocolate brownies and of course the colorful macaroons synonymous with Voila! cafe”. Anam could not stop himself from piling his plate with red velvet cupcake as much as I could not with mini ostrich kebabs which were served with dishes including Greek style lamb shwarma's with titziki, spicy calamari, mini burgers with avo, spicy meatballs and caprese salad kebabs. After eating so much and enjoying our chats with most of the invited, assorted fresh breads and cup cakes to go in hot pink take away boxes were made available for guests to help themselves before they headed home.
