Laduma Ngxokolo is one of the finest South African knitwear designers and innovator Xhosa-inspired knitwear. Through the Design Indaba platforms, Laduma established his knitwear brand, MaXhosa by Laduma in 2011. His 1st stride to success was winning the 2010 Society of Dyers and Colourists International Design Award in London, while finishing off his degree in Textile Design & Technology at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth. 












Laduma’s unique work has astonished audience in emerging designers’ shows in South Africa, London and Paris. Laduma is an agent of change, shifting and evolving with the changing times and further engaging in the dialogue that keeps pushing traditional culture to the future.
