Camps Bay's hottest restaurant and rooftop cafe: Bilboa and Chinchilla Cafe & Rooftop Bar

Last weekend, Saturday, PoseZA attended the launch for two of Camps Bay's hottest restaurant and rooftop cafe and bar namely, Bilboa Restaurant and Chinchilla Cafe & Rooftop bar. The setting is perfect as you enter the restaurant first which is located on the ground level. Expect a sensational summer as an exciting new space from the Kove Collection opens in the form of Bilboa, where the only distraction from the food is the view. Minimalism is the key with the decor fundamental colors are white, grey and gold. Diners are offered a contemporary space, unlike any other along the beachfront. Coupled with an uninterrupted view, this lends Bilboa an elevated level of sophistication. Breezing onto the Camps Bay strip, Bilboa brings with it its own brand of contemporary chic, exclu- sive location and enviable views across the Atlantic Ocean.
Perfect for brunch with the girls or an early dinner with your loved ones or even sun-downers while you pre-drink for the night ahead with your mates. The contemporary Mediter- ranean seafood-inspired offering includes Burrata with peach, coriander, lavender & honey; Trout served with spiced couscous, coriander and sultanas; Pearl Barley Risotto with watercress, asparagus and pecorino and dessert delights such as Ricotta Crème and Baked Chocolate. Come summer, Bilboa ’s unique wraparound balcony will offer diners the quintessential Camps Bay experience.
Located just upstairs from Bilboa, Chinchilla is an exclusive rooftop venue and the first of its kind in Camps Bay. Aimed at a sophisticated patron, Chinchilla is bringing forward café chic in the form of food, cocktails, music, art and ambiance. A playful, casual and elegant interior seamlessly combines beach with boho-chic while a menu featuring café classics has been expertly tailored to Chinchilla’s unique location. Sunset at Chinchilla is heralded with live DJ sets on Fridays, Saturday’s and Sundays , and cocktails are made by an in-house mixologist. The only one of its kind in the area, Chinchilla’s rooftop location means that patrons will have the best access to 360° views of Camps Bay, Lions Head and the Twelve Apostles. Touted as the location for both the discerning diner and the sundowner set, Chinchilla Rooftop Caf é & Bar and its sister Bilboa are set to simmer this summer – where the only distraction from the food is the view. So, the SA Style Awards 2014 where held last week and I was not surprised when it was announced that the Most stylish model : Joelle Kayembe. I have been seeing Joelle a lot lately from the events I go to and I have to say, she always looks on point.
