Review: SALUTE Streetwear

Image
So a few weeks back I got introduced to a Street wear label by the name Salute. The label launched about 3 months ago after a few months of preparation and executing to the final product. I have to mention that when starting a street label it takes guts and a lot of planning. Nowadays a lot of people launch street wear clothing and most of them don’t succeed due to lack of knowledge, planning, contacts and PR. The different thing about this label with a lot of other street wear label that I have come to know is that they are passionate and dedicated to their craft. I mean after 3 months of launching, they are national and have great clientele from all over S.A even though they are based in Cape Town. SALUTE Streetwear is an apparel line that offers a variety of clothing items. The designs of the items are inspired by street culture and modern fashion trends. SALUTE was founded by Lelethu Mantsha and Pallo Mobo in June 2013. A month later, Siyabonga Mavata and Junior ...

Part 1 update.

Image
Firstly, I would like to apologize for posting this late as I have been doctoring myself due to a hay-fever that came along for whatever reason. Secondly, I still can't remember where I put the cable for the camera to get the pictures I had taken throughout the events that POSE attended last week Thursday. However, I feel the need to write this post and will have a part 2 of it hopefully later in the week. So firstly we went to Adriaan Kuiters ( http://www.adriaankuiters.com/ ) Spring/Summer 13/14 launch which was a success to me. I do not want to dwell on it as I do not have the pictures yet so that you can understand why I state that it was a success, so please bare with me as I will write upon it on part 2 of this post.Unfortunately we were unable to attend the Peroni South Africa Fiat 500L launch as I intended to due to the clashing schedule. We had  Tiger of Sweden South Africa , which was the most anticipated event for the POSE team and a good friend of mine, Sam as he ...

So tomorrow marks the 3 event launches of some of my "best brands" in the world and I am so excited to attend of all them, with God's grace, I will multiply myself into 3 and cover them all for you. Firstly Adriaan Kuiters ( http://www.adriaankuiters.com/ ) is launching his new Spring/Summer 14 collection which I know for a fact is going to be phenomenal. Then we have to rush to the The Tiger of Sweden official Launch Tiger of Sweden South Africa which is one of my best International fashion brands I adore. The opening is one of the biggest highlights for POSE for 2013 and we are excited to interview the team and find out what exactly they will be bringing to the South African fashion community. You can check my previous post about the brand and the new campaign which has Jude Law's son, (too hot like his father) Tiger of Sweden Opening Launch and "A Different Cut" by TIger of Sweden    Lastly Peroni ( Peroni South Africa) is launching the new Fiat st...

Rihanna Diamond World Tour CPT experience

Image
A dream come true happened on Wednesday as I went to the Rihanna Diamond World Tour at the Green Point Stadium in Cape Town, S.A. The BadGirllRIRI did not disappoint as she came onto the stage only late with 20-30 minutes and gave us her all. She performed all my favorites from her albums such as, Talk that Talk, Jump, Unfaithful, Cockiness, Cake, Only Girl, We found Love to name a few. The dancing, vocals were on point and she was entertaining. I still cant get over her last two songs which are of course Stay and Diamonds from her latest album "Unapologetic". It was such a great experience and I would love to live it again. pic: city press

Monday Inspiration:

Image
It is no secret that every fag and hag out there is slowly but surely falling inlove with Miley Cyrus street style. I mean, the girl came out of nowhere with her new transformation, which she calls "Miley Movement". I for one, have been crushing on Miley's style and I did not want to mention it to anyone and have been keeping it to myself up until recently, when my friend, Sam, made me watch the documentary "Miley Movement", which Miley explains the whole entire process of her change up to the VMA performance. This Monday's inspiration are looks that I surely want to pull this summer but without the heels as I am not a drag queen (no offence intended). As I have been mentioning that all the  Monday Inspiration are looks that I will surely pull and post them here, I have decided to do something much more daring than that, as I have not posted any looks yet if you have noticed. Every end month I will be posting a video with the collection of all the looks a...

Attended: Blue Bay Boutique #FUN event

Image
An evening filled with Fashion, Beauty and Great conversation. Pose attended the Blue Bay Boutique #FUN event. On arrival we were served with champagne, as this is required for a fashion event. The first person we saw was our Marina who introduced us to the 2 lovely sisters that own the boutique. As they explained to us the history of the boutique, the amount of passion they have was astonishing. They knew each and every detail on each garment they had also explaining the kind of customer service they have which is Brutal honesty, something you never seem to get nowadays at boutiques as sales comes first to most. We enjoyed ourselves to death; me and Anam that is, networked a lot as this event was up our alley and great conversations and laughter with the Cruz Vodka crew as they explained some of the funniest stories of how people are always drunk after an event with them without knowing. Cruz Vodka has to be the first Vodka so far for me that gets you so tipsy without p...
