Petticoat Parlour launches new laser.

Petticoat Parlour recently launched a new, easy, effective and painless free way of hair removal. A laser which according to The Private clinic of Harley street in Londond deems to be much more effective, and achieves substantially better results that IPL. Ninety percent of patients who have undergone laser treatment experience permanent hair reduction or long term hair removal after 3 to 5 sessions. Lasers are far more precise, and can selectively target dark, coarse hairs, whilst leaving the surrounding skin undamaged. Because the heat is absorbed by the follicle, and not the skin, there is a decreased risk of burning when using Laser machines. Laser machines produce a single wavelength of light, which has a very concentrated beam and specific target (the melanin in the hair follicle). Each laser pulse takes a fraction of a second and can treat several hairs at a time. Laser settings can be adjusted to suit a client’s specific skin tone and hair colour. Laser hair removal can be used to treat larger body areas. Laser technology is safe for all skin colours, whereas IPL can cause burns on darkerskin tones. Thick, curly hair can cause folliculitis, which is a skin condition caused by ingrown hairs that irritate the skin and cause itching, infection, bumps and scarring. More often than ever we see gentleman of all ages who want to rid themselves of unwanted hair from all over the body.
When you enter Petticoat Parlour which is situated on Somerset Road in Green Point, you are greeted by Audrey Hepburn and Mariyln Monroe. The decor and feel f the salon is inspired by the 1950-1960 era where pink and black was the only color of note. Beside this new product they have launched, they also provides a range of treatments, including massages, body wraps, waxing, threading, lash extensions and tinting, spray and sun bed tanning, biosculpture and gelish treatments, various facial treatments and body exfoliations, using only top brands, such as Dermalogica, Guinot, Nimue and Australia’s Sun FX. The evening was entertained by Cruz Vodka cocktails while Bottlegreen Drinks were introduced to Cape Town as a non-alcoholic option and premium water by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna providing a welcome relief on a scorching hot summers day. GushiSushi offerings included Indonesian black rice, garlic chicken and beautifully crafted sa...lmon roses. Melissa Eksteen demonstrated the machine to the delight of the enthralled audience.
