"Underground City"

A few months back we did a shoot with Khanya "Kyeezi" Siyengo on a collaboration with a fashion label we loved from Menswear Fashion Week in Febuary, Kim Gush. The concept of the shoot was to take someone that is becoming the new face or voice when it comes to hustling into this industry we call Entertainment, and Khanya was the perfect match as he was dabbling his radio show "Bread and Butter with Kyeeze", and his television show "Win A Home", pairing him with a fashion designer that is breaking all barriers when it comes to normality and fashion. As a busy man working to get where you want to be in life sometimes you have to sit down and reflect on all that you have achieved so far and get away from the tall buildings that surround you and the hundreds of people walking past you. When conceptualizing this shoot we were taken back to the 1920's when men would work all day and soon as they finish work they would all go to some dark alley bar or underground pubs and sit back to reflect on the days work while sipping on beer or whiskey. When finding the perfect place that had this aura or feel to it we knew exactly where to go, The Orphanage restaurant and Bar in Bree Street. The lighting and decor just brought all that we imagined to life with a modern twist to it ofcourse. We call this story " Underground City"
