KISUA Opens Cape Town Store and Celebrates Albertina Sisulu in Style

Image
Contemporary African fashion brand, KISUA, marked the opening of its Cape Town store at the V&A Waterfront with the unveiling of The Albertina Sisulu Centenary Collection. As part of Mama Sisulu’s 100th year celebrations, the iconic African fashion creator has launched a fashion collection under the theme ‘Victory is Ours’ – a modern depiction of the anti-apartheid activist’s sacrifice and contribution towards the new South Africa. First I heard of the brand was due to its clients who include award winning musician BeyoncĂ© and the YOOX Net-a-Porter Group, the world’s leading online luxury fashion retailer.  KISUA is the only African fashion brand with distribution centers on 3 continents- Africa, Europe and America, from where the company services a global client base through its international ecommerce platform. The company won ‘Best Emerging African Brand’ at the Best Brands Africa Awards 2015. KISUA, a unique fashio...

The Station turns 2!

Image
I still can't believe it's already two years since The Station opened its stores in Cape Town, located in Bree Street. A concept bar and restaurant fashioned after the iconic London Underground or Tube as it is known and has recently had an upgrade in time for the summer season. PoseZA was invited to attend this exclusive birthday party last week Thursday and knowing our EIC, a party is never a miss. Greeted by the Arrivals platform under the leafy street trees which has also undergone changes with a newly installed deck that leads you into this unique venue. Relocation of the main bar to the back centre of the venue has opened up a large area to accommodate additional space for dining and provides an ample area for late night dancing.   The new design allows for easy access from the restaurant area to the open roof top courtyard where you can mingle and sip drinks under the stars in close proximity to the double tiered bar. The new bar is now on two levels allowing for mor...

Luxury is everything at Chelsea Spa & Clinic

Image
If you know me very well, you will definitely know how much I am a sucker for the Renaissance period and how many times I've watched "The Great Gatsby" remake with Leornado Dicaprio because of its fashion, ofcourse and how luxurious it is with a modern take on regal. As my uber dropped me off, charcoal walls invited in with some Renaissance architectural design at the Chelsea Spa & Clinic. Trying to remember the day I attended the launch for their vaginal treatment, I am surprised that I can't remember the architecture as it instantly takes me back to my reference of "The Great Gatsby" especially the part when the first time we see the entrance of Gatsby house and how everyone is in awe as they enter the gates. I don't know but I usually associate beauty spa's with fairy interior for some reason (very cliche of me) but Chelsea is something of the opposite. The interior is an evening mood with dim gold lighting everywhere, giving you a sense o...
