Tommy Hilfiger Launch





 


On the 17 April 2013, Tommy Hilfiger launched his store at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town. I was fortunate enough to be invited by Elle Magazine to accompany them to the event with Tracy (radio DJ and actress). I got to the event just about time as they opened the store to the media and served champagne. Outside they had 4 models which included a close friend of mine, Beauty, in Tommy's latest collection with two cute little dogs as we took pictures. The inside of the store was your ever Tommy Hilfiger style, very nautical and packed with his Spring/Summer collection. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and big gasps. As the evening went by, bloggers started to flood in and flashes were the order of the day. The crowd included the Tommy Hilfiger International Publicist Claire, the Elle team consisting of Jackie Burger (editor), Taryn (fashion editor)and Holly (online editor). Some celebrities showed their faces as well, the likes of Liezel (TV personality), Jen Sui (Socialite and entrepreneur) and my favorite two bloggers, Aisha of BakedTheBlog.com | Cape Town, Fashion & Lifestyle Blog and Aqeelah of Fashion Breed

I am happy to say I was not disappointed however anticipated to know how Cape Town will embrace Tommy Hilfiger as seasons change and their perception of the brand as it grows. Any who as the launch ended, some of us headed to the after party which took place at the Shimmy Beach club and partied the night away. I wont be dwelling on that as I remember half of it. 











































and the goodie bag consisted of a blanket which is still at the Tommy Hilfiger store as it will be embroided with my initials and I need to go fetch it next week, also these lovely Tommy Sunglasses.

Joelle Kayembe scoops Most stylish model : SA Style Awards 2014

So, the SA Style Awards 2014 where held last week and I was not surprised when it was announced that the Most stylish model : Joelle Kayembe. I have been seeing Joelle a lot lately from the events I go to and I have to say, she always looks on point. The most humblest model I know as I had a chat with her at the ERKE store launch this year and she gave so much advice through her experiences in the Fashion Industry.
