ERKE Store Launch

Pose attended the ERKE store launch at the Gardens Shopping Centre on Wednesday on one of Cape Town’s busiest nights (Nelson Mandela Memorial Service). While our hearts were still recovering a nation’s loss, we need to give props to The Little Black Book and those that attended.

Just a little background on the brand: ERKE started in 2000 and this is their first store in Sub-Saharan Africa boasting over 7000 overseas outlets with sales network that covers more than 40 countries. What is nice about the brand is that it’s sporty and casual, which is an element that is big in fashion at the moment. Chad La Clos is one of their biggest ambassadors and Oscar Pistorius (whispering) during his better days.

What we as POSE like about the brand is definitely its reasonable pricing, variety and it’s for the customer that doesn’t leave any aspect of his/her life untouched (someone that wants to look good regardless of the activity). Our favorite piece without a doubt has to be the feather-lite sports shoe due to the fact that its light weight, not something that you would associate with a sports shoe as they are usually chunky and heavy. The shoe is a sports shoe for jogging and all but you can integrate with your fashion looks.

Some of the key words that popped-out while we asked those that attended include: COOL, DURABILITY, EXCELLENT QUALITY and MODERN. We were entertained by the man on the decks DJ Darren Rose while sipping on Cruz Vodka cocktails served with the Scheckters organic energy drink and Peroni beer which always goes down well.

POSE would like to thank Marina and Jules (The Little Black Book), the ERKE team for being friendly and attentive and they are also avail online: www.erke.co.za . The official address is: Shop no.33, Gardens Shopping Centre.
