H&M opens in S.A

Image
Last week Friday, PoseZA attended the exciting press launch of major international retailer H&M #H&MSTUDIOAW15 for a glimpse of what we can expect to see when they finally open their doors to South Africa in October 2015 at the V&A Waterfront and by glimpse I mean what we saw was only one percent of the fashion we would be seeing the store will have plus minus 4700sqm which will make it one the world’s biggest stores boasting two floors worth of fashion and the flagship store of South Africa yes Cape Town we are going to be in for a treat. Prior to the event we did a little H&M stalking and looked at their recent campaigns and runway shows to get a feel for what we would see, and in their recent campaign although it was for Spring/Summer we identified that the H&M woman particularly has a strong eye for fashion trends, she wants to look great whether she is going to work, on a night out with friends, a weekend away she knows that H&M always has something for...

The Bromwell, Spirit of the City.

Image
POSEZA attended a fashion show at the Bromwell event last week in the trendy and arty Woodstock. For those that don’t know the Bromwell is a café, deli and boutique that stocks some of the country’s top designers and some of Cape Town’s most talented labels in Woodstock, 250 Albert road and a step away from the popular Old Biscuit Mill. Visiting the area would be the best way to spend a lazy Saturday morning/afternoon to experience ‘The Spirit of the City’. Woodstock for us is an area where we’ve found some of the best delis, trendiest cafés, thrift shops that sell antiques, vintage and recycled deco items we love how It’s become the harbor for creative local talent and all things quirky. Stepping into the venue we were greeted by helpful ushers and models posing in a window display in ensembles that would feature in the show and we could get up close and touch the fabrics and even pose with the models. The drinks were provided by Absolute Vodka and G.H.MUMM Champagne, Bottle Gree...

CosmoJeans Fashion show!

Image
PoseZA attended the CosmoJeans fashion show in Canal Walk Century City Thursday night the evening saw Cape Town’s “fun and fearless crowd” brave the cold to enjoy an evening of lovely winter fashion we were served welcome drinks courtesy of the House Of J.C Le ROUX the evening was light and relaxed with easy chatter and I felt as if most of the crowd made an effort to dress up in some of the seasons key winter trends. The fashion show kicked off with freestyle dancers who got the crowd going with their out of this world moves and two artists that would be creating graffiti artworks dedicated to #CosmoJeans and LG during the course of the show and you kind of knew right away that this wasn’t going to be the conventional and serious catwalk we’ve often seen. They were followed by male models who had the ladies cheering decked out in grunge denim on denim ensembles they were followed by the ladies who showed us the key fashion items to team with denim which included faux fur jacket...
