CosmoJeans Fashion show!
PoseZA attended the CosmoJeans fashion show in Canal Walk Century City Thursday night the evening saw Cape Town’s “fun and fearless crowd” brave the cold to enjoy an evening of lovely winter fashion we were served welcome drinks courtesy of the House Of J.C Le ROUX the evening was light and relaxed with easy chatter and I felt as if most of the crowd made an effort to dress up in some of the seasons key winter trends.
The fashion show kicked off with freestyle dancers who got the crowd going with their out of this world moves and two artists that would be creating graffiti artworks dedicated to #CosmoJeans and LG during the course of the show and you kind of knew right away that this wasn’t going to be the conventional and serious catwalk we’ve often seen. They were followed by male models who had the ladies cheering decked out in grunge denim on denim ensembles they were followed by the ladies who showed us the key fashion items to team with denim which included faux fur jackets, luxurious knit wraps, parkers, high rise denim jeans and mid length Tule skirts from the latest Stutterfords,Forever21,Soviet,GStarRaw,Superdry,Forever New, Soviets winter lines we also saw a section in the show from Jet Stores that showed us how to wear the sports lux trend this season with the popular jogger pants, baseball jackets, oversized tees, chunky knit wraps and distressed denim. That was followed by the LG section which in my opinion represented fun clubbing gear which included risqué sequined shorts see through waterfall cardigans, black patent leather body con dresses and pvc capes definitely outfits for the brave and confident ladies and a treat for the gents who attended the show all this while taking selfies on the ramp which I thought was a great way to promote their new line of cell phones that takes amazing night-time selfies.
The finale was my favorite because it represented the Cosmopolitan magazine brand well in its fun and fearless nature it was colorful fun and sassy and showed us items that epitomize the Cosmopolitan woman we saw items from Levi jeans, Cotton On, Tart, Fundudzi, Black Coffee, Pichulik Jewellery, Guess and KLUK CGDT Who showed us a range of trends including beautiful fringe tops that had a life of their own when they moved down the ramp (I think personally all ladies should own a fringe item this season whether it’s a dress, top, bag or even piece of Jewellery), distressed and torn denim jeans, longer length tops, bold printed knee length skirts, the boxy jacket, high waist trousers and how to wear statement Jewellery.
I think the event was a major success and POSEZA would like to thank Jules Illing and Associated Media Publishing, Cosmopolitan SA, LG, Canal Walk all the brands and all those that were involved in making the event happen.
