Hello May. A quick catch-up.

Hello May! Its been a rough and hectic two months for PoseZA as we took on two new projects that are literally taking all my time with planning and scheduling everything. Firstly, I would like to apologize for my absence and going a bit AWOL on you guys. You know how much I appreciate you all and my love for you and hope you can forgive me. Unfortunately, I am unable to spill all the beans at the moment on the two new projects I am working on as they are still on phase one and a lot is still yet to be done and confirmed. I am very much excited and eager for you guys to know all about them and get you all excited. This post is to give you guys a brief insight on the events that I have attended within the past two months from Harringtons opening launch, to Cafe Frank new restaurant in Century City and styling Tokyo James A/W campaign after styling his runway showcase ( read more here) and Nicci A/W17 seasonal launch. 1. Harringtons Cocktail Lounge : Teaming up with surf legends, Twiggy Baker and Jordy Smith, Guy Wood and restaurateur Reg Macdonald, introduce 3 new rooms in the former Assembly space. Although technically still one venue it has been split up into 3 unique and completely separate bar, lounge and night club concepts – SurfaRosa, Harringtons and District. Harringtons Cocktail Lounge situated in 61 Harrington street is a classic neighbourhood cocktail lounge and boutique bar, on the top floor overlooking Harrington street. Beautifully polished wooden accents, open windows, velvet bottle service booths, a smoking patio and boutique DJ set up for late evening revelry with a food offering. Open Wednesday - Saturday, 4pm onward and will have a food offering created by Chef Sheldon Raju. @harringtonsct www.facebook.com/harringtonsct/
2. Cafe Frank new store opening : I was recently invited to have brunch at Cafe Frank and went with a good friend of mine, Ollie. Cafe Frank initially started off as a Chicken Rotisserie place in Bree Street and now branched further out onto Energy Lane in Century City. Large and open-plan warehouse style space, creating seamless flow from one space to the next, with wooden elements that tone down the masculinity of the urban concrete jungle surrounding it. And the interior, in hues of mint. We received a very warming welcome from the staff, super service and their food selection caters to everyone including vegetarians and vegans (on order). So you can expect a conventional booth and counter-style food, a selection of fresh salads, home-made sauces and wheat free edibles. But, it's the pies that take centre stage. Delicately made, phyllo pastry, chicken pie. To finish the meal, dig your spoon into their nutty chocolate brownie or even better, THE GUINNESS CHOCOLATE CAKE. No denying Café Frank is stamping their authority on the Cape Town foodie scene.
3. Tokyo James editorial campaign: End of Times : I got the pleasure of working with Tokyo James as his runway stylist for his A/W17 showcase at the Lexus Menswear Week in Cape Town. What a pleasure it was and a great experience and opportunity. After the work I did Tokyo obviously got impressed and asked me to style his campaign the same weekend. Shot in the heart of Cape Town, CBD, this is what we came up with. also got a shout-out from the lovely, amazing team A Fashion Friend.
4. Nicci Boutique A/W17 seasonal preview : Nicci Boutique recently invited a few fashion insiders, media and bloggers to preview their A/W17 showcase at one of their stores, V & A Waterfront. The season trends were all there from your natural hues colours, knits, distressed leather skirts and jackets, denims with patches, faux fur sneakers and leather ankle boots. I was more then impressed and amazed by their buyers team for actually going younger than usual and exploring trends.
So, that covers everything. I hope you enjoyed the reading and we shall chat soon. Don't forget to follow me on Instagram and like my page, PoseZA, to get intouch and see my everyday living. Till next time. Love you lots.
