Spree Lookboard event

Last Thursday, Spreee.co.za invited everyone who is everyone in the fashion industry, celebrities, bloggers and fashion magazines to view their eagerly awaited S/S 2014 Spree Lookboard for their Spree Boutique which includes designers Marianne Fassler, Malcolm KLûK, Christiaan Gabriël du Toit, Gert-Johan Coetzee, Thula Sindi who where all in attendance. The event was in full force with the designers looks on live mannequins as we circles around them taking pictures and admiring the small details on each look.
As a big fan of Gert-Johan design aesthetic, I was not let down once again. The newspaper print on the skirt and the dress was fresh combined with the pattern of it. The cut was done to perfection giving you a new look at the print itself. from far it attracted you close and close up it made you want to touch it.
Kluk and CGDT gave us a new form of print on print. As they recently showcased their collection for MBFWCT at their new house it was great to see part of the collection as I was not able to attend the event prior. The use of solids subtle with the print on print gave me a belonging as the prints are rich in color and bold in pattern.
Marianne Fassler is the most down to earth woman I have ever met, so far. Her designs are a mixture of colors, pattern and cuts. Her range blasts with color injecting you with a playful harmony. The collection is as free-spirited as a bird.
Thula Sindi is such a gentleman. He knows exactly what a matured woman needs and not to say older but a woman that know what she wants in life. The collection is pure classic cuts, sixties inspired full skirts with princess a-line cuts. I was fascinated with the lace hem and details on the below looks. Pattern playing is one thing he is good at and I thoroughly enjoy from his designs.

Joelle Kayembe scoops Most stylish model : SA Style Awards 2014

So, the SA Style Awards 2014 where held last week and I was not surprised when it was announced that the Most stylish model : Joelle Kayembe. I have been seeing Joelle a lot lately from the events I go to and I have to say, she always looks on point. The most humblest model I know as I had a chat with her at the ERKE store launch this year and she gave so much advice through her experiences in the Fashion Industry.
