CSquared opens flagstore at Canal Walk

Yesterday CSquared opened their first flagstore in Canal Walk with a bunch of bloggers, socialites and celebrities. CSquared is the only fashion label whether mens or women that has the most social network participation with its fans, clientele and media. Greetings and side cheek kissing followed and we hit the bar to get a drink to relax us. Once you get into the store you automatically drawn to the decor which is glimps of architectural fantasy inside. The layout of the clothes was imopressing with blazers on frames, it all looked like you were in a museum of some past era. Finally we had a little chat with the head designer for CSquared who explained the collection and gave us hope of a range that will cater mostly to the youth, t-shirts and jeans, your basics and we cannot wait for it.

Below, is some of the information I received from their head PR,  Sianna, about the whole concept of the store and a brief history of CSquared:

1.  What is CSquared brand stand for and what is the brand history.

CSquared is an 11 year-old brand which started off as a branch brand from Carducci. Now, CSquared has one of the strongest online fan bases, and is without a doubt South Africa's most cutting-edge formalwear brand worn by celebrities, IT-guys and menswear enthusiasts. Its design philosophy is focus on the slim, body conscious cut that young, urban males covet. The tailoring and quality of fabrics is distinctly italian with a focus on the latest international trends each season. Prior to having a flagship store that exclusively stocked the brand, CSquared has been stocked at major Markham and Stuttafords stores nationwide as well as indie boutiques like Bogart Man. CSquared designs for the young South African man who is ambitious, a fierce individual and an all-round go getter who isn't afraid of celebrating how far he has come, and his success.

2.  The CSquared Store

The CSquared store is designed by Aidan Bennetts and every aspect of the store's details reflects the brand's bold, vibrant and luxurious identity. The ipad mounted in store and social media interaction points will really speak to the modern urban man and will bring about another dimension of experience to buying his CSquared suit. We hope that buyers will come in and take a photo of their #LOTD and discuss their love of menswear. CSquared's quality fabrics and cuts, with its international trends and styles makes the CSquared Store and GQ magazine have a fantastic synergy. GQ magazines latest issues will be on sale in store. The CSquared Flagship store is the only place where you can shop one of a kind designs by the brand, its complete range of accessories from pocket squares to bow ties and the latest seasonal range.

3. How is CSquared supporting and celebrating its mark on Menswear in South Africa?

In the spirit of talking about how CSquared has a passionate online fan-base, CSquared is launching an exciting social media campaign called #TOPSWAG Style Icon Search...in the next few weeks that will celebrate the fact that men in South Africa are starting to take pride in what they wear ie. documenting their #LOTDs, and that formalwear and good taste in clothes are becoming an increasingly more important part of the modern urban male's daily routine and identity. CSquared's social media platforms, advertising strategy and the CSquared flagship store aims to support this paradigm shift among young african men.
